Curtain Rings
About Curtain Rings
A house will not be complete without windows, and to complete your windows, you need curtains. Curtains add a little something extra to every home. Its appeal is timeless and adds an ambiance of elegance and class to whichever room it is placed. Without a curtain, a house looks all naked and undressed. It can be likened to a car that is without tires.
Ever since curtains were discovered, no home would ever be complete unless there are curtains on windows. Even the small houses in rural areas do their best to have curtains as coverings or decorations. In more elegant houses, curtains are always accessorized with curtain rings.

The popularity of curtain rings was introduced during 1970’s. However, as home decoration trends evolved, a lot of curtain accessories as well as window types were also introduced to the market. In effect, the popular rings were set aside and were then forgotten. However, curtain rings are making a strong comeback.
Decorating With Curtain Rings
As new curtain designs and styles come out in the market, people found it convenient to use curtain rings again. Accessories such as curtain rings allow curtains to be hung more easily, and also to be moved from side to side more efficiently.
Aside from the convenience that these rings offer, the ones available in the market now are made longer lasting. This means that each ring is designed to be durable enough to hold curtains no matter how light or heavy the fabric is. No more worries on curtains falling or getting stuck on one side because of broken rings. The lightest fabric or the heaviest drapes can be easily handled. At the same time, the rings protect the curtain from damage when it is pulled or installed.
Trend also came with the rings. In the earlier days, rings were created only for its purpose. It adds no aesthetic value to the curtains. Imagine large and hideous curtain rings at the top of the curtains. Sure, these curtains move well when pulled sideways. However, it makes the whole thing look unpleasing and even ugly. Thankfully, a lot of people noticed such problem and changed the look of the curtain rings. They added design and style to the rings to make it more attractive as house ornaments. There are even those that are made to add style and go together with the curtain rods.
Aside from the curtain rings, curtain tiebacks are also made part of the whole curtain package. Usually, these tiebacks contain an eyelet where curtains can be restrained. This is not a problem with curtain rings. As long as these are properly attached, the look and the function of the curtain are kept intact.
Using curtains as a decorative way to accent a home is all about achieving a polished effect. Using curtain rings alone may be convenient for many but to achieve that great design, it is often chosen to go and complement with curtain rods and the entire motif of the room where the curtains are placed. Even a small detail such as curtain rings can make a big difference when it comes to the overall look of the curtains.
